Campaign for Good Governance (CGG) conducted a service delivery mapping exercise at Gelehun Maternity Community Health Post (MCHP) in Kenema District, Small Bo Chiefdom.
This exercise was done as a component of the UNDEF funded project: ‘Building Women’s Capacity for Democratic Dialogue and Accountability’ which is being rolled out by CGG.
The monitors unearthed the deplorable condition of the MCHP and the findings were nothing to write home about.
The current state of the health center and finds are documented in the video below for the attention of service providers and state actors to step up in the delivery of basic social services with regards to Maternal and Child Health, Water and Sanitation, and Electricity in Gelehun CHP.
CGG is calling on all stakeholders involved to address the issue of providing basic social services for the citizens as well as improving their well-being.
“We believe democracy must yield it dividend in its shortest possible time.”
