CGG and MoGCA Facilitate First-ever Consultative Meeting with Female Ministers and Deputies
With support from Trocaire and IrishAid, Campaign for Good Governance (CGG), in collaboration with the Ministry of Gender and Children’s Affairs ( MoGCA), today facilitated the first-ever consultative meeting with Female Ministers and Deputies to promote gender equality and empowerment of women and girls.
We are hopeful our Female Ministers and Deputies will, through effective and efficient collaboration, peer support and networking, advance women’s priority policy issues in Sierra Leone.
Thanks to the feminist Chief Minister for the keynote address, the Irish Ambassador, Trocaire and UNWomen Country Directors, and the Minister of Gender for their inspirational statements. Also, to the Gender Adviser to the President for Chairing the event and our facilitators (Dr Bernadette Lahai and Ms Valnora Edwin) for a job well done.
CGG looks forward to working more with the Ministry of Gender and Children’s Affairs in supporting women’s empowerment initiatives in Sierra Leone.
